As the Artist Director of Sunshine International Arts his main role in the company is to design, working along side culturally diverse artistes to achieve a high quality project. Ray has many years experience of fashion and costume design working in India, London, Australia and Trinidad. Ray is especially interested in the traditional handicrafts and arts of the area he has worked in looking closely to the artisans and their skills. His preferred medium is textiles, which he feels has the capacity to bring costumes a live working with the body and dance.
The use of surface decorating techniques allows his work to have the finish product of Couture Carnival Costumes.
